The Beauty of Letting Go

It is never easy to find a place we can belong to. It is never easy to find people we can feel comfortable sharing stories of our joys and tears with. It is never easy to finally open the doors & windows of our hearts then take a seat in relax letting everything coming in & out. When we have found them and finally have opened them, we just don't want to lose them. We strive our best to have the firmest grip ever upon them.

The problem with such factual concept is ideally, life doesn't work that way. We plan and design it like a building, but it has never been within the possession & jurisdiction of ours even though we follow all of the theoretical guidelines. For everything in life is conditional, they all have the limit of time period; just like life ahead is there death. Thus, the place & the people will someday have to be gone. The doors and the windows will have to be shut off again. And we, are alone again.

As it's said that we cannot receive more water in our glass if we don't first make use of the water inside, however, losing what we are already fond of most of times only means to receive more love in our life. When the water in glass is not used but kept, soon it will be contaminated and no longer  be preciously useful. Love works on the same method. As time goes by, love turns into dependency and addiction. Slowly but sure it will be contaminated and becomes possessiveness instead. When it happens, it's no longer love but greediness. Hence, to keep the love remains as love, it will have to be let go of.

Letting go is the proof of why we fall in love to begin with. Letting go is the receipt of how sincerity is what matters most. Letting go is opening the chance for the love to grow even more and new loves to bloom along.

Because in the end, nothing lasts forever. Even scientifically this universe will one day collapse turning into entropy, and the collapse will someday after form into new universe. The cycle keeps rotating. It's inevitable and bringing new hopes at the same time. If we don't let go and everything stays the same, the love may rot without any new seed born.

All we need is to be patient, waiting to finally see new worthwhile things come and sprout. Because nothing lasts forever, the sadness won't stay forever either. When we finally can open our hearts for new things and new people to come in, we will be in love more with what we've let go. We'll come to understanding of why we should meet and then say goodbye to some things, because if we had never, we wouldn't be able to see other and more things to come. It is because of we've met someone and shared certain feelings with them we can afterwards meet someone else and then share certain feelings with. It is because we've gone through certain experiences we can come to other experiences.

It's just like the chain of events. We cannot get to the other events if we don't pass the previous ones. One thing takes to the other. In order to reach the goal, we should not skip any of them. That is why to let go means to pass the exam of certain experience then get to the next pavements. That is how we can gain more of knowledge and wisdom, gain more of skills and increase our capacity; that is how we can enrich ourselves.

Letting go means to be grateful for everything we've received from. We appreciate the beauty of it, we respect the preciousness of moments,  but we don't hold it too tight because it might hurt. Instead, we allow the birds to fly in the sky because that's what birds are supposed to do, that's how birds look beautiful. We should just detach ourselves so we won't cage the birds.

Detachment is not cutting off the relationship we've built each other, but it in fact is giving the true happiness to all party. Because to be attached will only hurt everyone knowing nothing can remain the same. Detachment is the salvation that gives spaces for self-growth to everyone. And we don't have to fear the departure, because if the fate decides for another meeting, leaving will only mean strengthening the bond between. But if the fate decides for something to end, that just means the duty to be accomplished has already been fulfilled, and another duty is waiting ahead somewhere.
